Maxim's Pool
This tale is one of my own for a change! Transcribed below:
The tournament had gone on for some days now, drawing crowds and warriors from all corners of the Raktine Confederacy to the city of Gyorok. A grand arena, constructed in a day by Maxim Kuznets, God of the Forge, to seek the first of his champions that his fractured homeland may be unified under one banner and push back against both the would-be invaders on all sides and the dangerous hedge mages within her borders.

Steelshod 75: Politics of Brutality
I like to think that the spell Henderson used took most of his memories and only what we have online is what he remembers, it is a good expansion to the backstory of doom
This was good. The ending was just..... good
Why do I suspect the glow wall was just the GM's way of making sure they couldn't just order another orbital strike and skip his carefully planned encounters?
As a traditional craft nerd these stories are always interesting for me. Like, I know at least four skills that could make me money (admittedly not a lot of it) in this world and these poor bastards are floundering.
Box car Jo is a TTRPG dimension hoping entity, someone call the SCP foundation!
"the orks out there are secretly other orks in disguise!" honsetly sounds like an ork plan
I feel bad about Ivanna, she was a passionate badass who had terrible luck. She deserved better than to fall to Khorne. Kinda hoped she joined the Occurence Border squad.
1:42:30 "Huh, the person arriving at the poker game in the flying limo and with the twins is very much what you would expect in a spy movie. Wait a sec, this is a Casino Royale parody, which means. Oh no, Bane is here."
In the scout marine's mind, he suffered the greatest torment there is, being stuck forever with the insane guardsmen. But for the guardsmen, the poker room is great, they can have a lot more fun than fighting by Big E's side forever.
I suspect they are approaching a world being invaded by the bugs, with the ghost 'nids being an echo of the Shadow in the Warp planetside, amplified by being in the Immaterium. The hive mind could have heard the initial psychic scream, then that of the astropaths and figured the general direction they were going.
The fact sister Valerie could fire an astartes bolter without dislocating her shoulder is impossible without psychoc shenanigans, so Doc was not too off the mark.
*Gravis:* "There is a 73% chance that is a valud target. *Nubby:* There is a 73% trying to kill us fee. You can see where everyone's priorities lie.
I am amazed that a zoanthrope had such an amazing psychic reach, if they can affect everyone in the sector, they should be a lot worse in battle. What exactly signal boosted it ?
Warp, most likely. It allows things to go far distances. Also, though this is a spoiler, It may have had help.
When people cheer for the Inquisition, you know your luck is comparable to that of the Lamenters.
Sarge humbling the marine with that snap back about holding the line was amazing, really gave him some perspective on what the average guardsman goes through.
Considering the eldar are said to experience emotions more powerfully and how much stock they place on mental discipline, the party must have struck such a raw nerve than Khorne would consider his rage a 5 course, 3 star Michelin meal. In a way, its an accomplishment for the ages.
21:28 Amy utilized The Comissar's Rebuttal, a classic of battlefield rhetoric. I can't say the cogboy didn't earn it.
Jim continues to be the truest bro in the Adeptus Mechanicus, he is a good cogboy, but Tink's heretek shenanigans is above his paygrade.
Its so satisfying to see the party have become such hardened, veteran badasses and one of the greatest threats that T'au city has ever seen.
Either this interrogator has his luck by being a Tzeentch cultist or he is stealing it from others, there is an unusual level of luck fails around him and he strides with bold confidence despite not having a plan. With that level of recklessness, no one can survive to being an interrogator without some sort of sus ability, even the Rupert has more common sense than him.
In his last moments, Cutter became the closest thing to an Eversor than he could be, what a badass.
Twitch is amazing, he is more over prepared than the most paranoid Inquisitor and it keeps paying off.
Despite the major loss of Heavy, the techpriest was such a bro.
5th time listening. Here I go.
Mines a blanket with a pocket so you can fold it into a pillow, with the colors & mascot of the local football team. From my dad. Still sleep with it, though it's currently acting as a make-shift pillow case for a long pillow I keep between me & the wall my bed rests besides.
Miss you
Are you doing okay? :(
I love this series but upon every re watch/read it's regular and casual use of "retard" irks me more and more.
This is absolutely epic. A nice mix of madcap humour, action, and grumpy narrator.
14:47 Morbius would have been proud
Fun fact that I noticed: The reason the Eldar was particularly pissy about fumbles doodling on the wraithguard's eyeless "helmet" is because wraithguards are kinda the equivalent of a dreadnaught to the eldar, where their deceased reveared heros are placed inside of and serve as high impact assault platforms. Basically fumbles was desecrating one of (likely) his ancestors.
My jaw dropped when Nubby actually proved to be the key to successfully thwarting the nefarious plot. What a character, what a story
To this day I am still curious as to why the credentials failed to check out. Was it the choir master just screwing them? Or the result of tampering from the xeno adept being a traitor? Or did Oak's enemies prevent Sarges credentials from being offical registered as to limit the number of interogators/inquistors on his side.
Considering Oak had a mandate against him and Sarge supposedly missed an astropathic message to cease all activities, I think it's the last one, but worse.
Just wanted to say that your all guardsmen party readings are my go to thing to listen to when going to sleep. Your voice work is awesome!
“Full on freakin out man” made me laugh in the middle of my workout
You know the start of this really makes wonder why they even accepted this mission in hindsight. Like even if everything that ends up going wrong didn't happen, they were still going woefully unequipped and unsuited to the job. They literally had to DIY a custom containment cell from other smaller cells just to contain the tyrannid with very limited technical know how after all their tech priests got carted off, leaving two super green acolytes as the most senior techpriests which Oak knew about. Something they really should not of been expected to pull off, by any stretch of the imagination as it also required the help of a tau Oak didn't know about. Throw on top of that the level of warp taint the ship had to begin with, having a wildly powerful psychic onboard for an extended voyage would obviously result in some kind of greater warp phenomena unless you had perfect shielding which Oak would of known they lacked since the cells were intended for untrained human kids. There are just so many red flags to this that it honestly seems out of character for Oak to assign it to them without letting them return home first, and for the squad to even accept it since they all should of known it was going to be impossible to pull off without disastrous consequences given their clear volume of paranoia and skills in risk assessment.
I half wonder if the heretek fleet only got added because the GM thought it was a good idea after Sarge's character came up with it. Also possibly as revenge for the dungeon skipping
Going from religious imprisonment to capitalist imprisonment
Alexander boasts that he can duel a demi god to a stand still and his right hand can assassinate emperors to a bunch of old farts and glory hounds who's only achievements were harassing a bunch of pilgrims and luddite raiders What a ballsy man
It just dawned on me. They're blue, constantly happy, and have mushroom shaped buildings. They're Space Smurfs!
I laughed so hard at this
Gonna say i love this channel and I hope one day this kind of content can return to being regularly posted, especially the all guardsmen party. Though I do have to say, keep up the amazing work when you can and your voice has gone from great to amazing!
It’s been three years, but I have some theories what the rest of the characters could be doing after 200 years. We obviously know that the narrator and Avery are alive to some extend. The narrator is most likely still in his separated form and Avery I could take a guess and assume that she’s either some sort of angel or she’s been reincarnated or maybe she’s just been revived. Mike might still be alive but as a demon lord/general similar to what the other Taron that was referenced that was a lawyer ended up doing. Austin, I’m assuming is most likely dead but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he’s some sort of construct or robot now possibly. Max possibly could be a lich personally, I don’t believe he would do so, but if not, it’s possible that he has achieved some other form of immortality as well but there are too many other different ways to count. Marcus, Amanda, Ian, Alex, Dan and Jason are most likely dead they probably still do have it descendants Rena and her child are most likely still alive I also wouldn’t be surprised if the others have descendants that are around. It’s kind of boring I know but I really don’t know how the others would survive. I mainly basing my knowledge on fantasy things as well as DND I am interested in everybody else’s ideas for how others could be alive or ideas about the series in general.
Hey, I know some big changes have happened in your life but I really loved your readings of this series. Do you plan on coming back to it? I'd still love to be able to continue the story with your voice. I still support your channel and re-watch your readings.
In my mind, the svardic chanting sounds like the chanting in Fylgija futhorck by Heilung
So the elves got cocked because the humans were better at laying pipe on Elvin women lol the that really does suck for them.
The "oh god why is he comeing for me" had the same energy as "fucked mothering vampire".
Met a vet whose eye got blown out. The bone in the socket was fine but theire was a hole through his mouth he would stike his finger through to scare us kids.
